From the desk of Steve Roehm, Tuesday 8:27
Dear Friend,
You, like me, have probably seen what bad hypnosis training can do. Honestly, there are some real hacks out there.
There are people out there that are still using pendulums and pocket watches. Seriously?!?
My biggest pet peeve is the 'script readers'. If you are a script reader, you are not really giving your client what they deserve. I personally believe, if you are charging someone $100/hr to read to them, you don't know what you are doing and don't care enough to learn more.
If that offends you, you need to just go to the "Pay Now" button and sign up for a good training.
But, I am not here to offend anyone...I just want to educate the world in hypnosis.
You see, several years ago I had a bad training experience. I felt like I knew more about hypnosis than the person 'teaching' us, and he had been 'practicing' for over 30 years! During the eight days in the course, we only hypnotized one person. I felt jipped.
I decided then and there, I needed to do something about bad hypnosis training.
So, I started my search for a good curriculum. I went to trainings for different organizations and 'schools' and finally found what I was looking for with the International Association of Counselors and Therapists.
Dr George Bien, had put together the best training I had seen to date. So, I decided to become a Master Trainer for the IACT.
During my training, I met someone who has since become a wonderful friend and co-trainer - Martin Hulbaek.
After talking for a while we thought the best way to get great hypnosis training to the world is to do it ourselves.
With Martin's work, focusing primarily on the spiritual side of hypnosis, and my work being habit control and behavior modification with an emphasis on conversational hypnosis, you get one unique training.
OK, so what do you get in this course?
We are going to start with the basics and work our way through the more advanced techniques and ideas.
